Motorcyclist Crash

This is what happens when you lock up your front brakes on a motorcycle. Luckily this happened at low speeds.

New riders, PLEASE keep an eye out for stuff like this. This is a common mistake that can turn disastrous, given the wrong circumstance. Watch your follow distances, watch for brake lights, practice your emergency braking. Ride safe everyone.

Motorcyclists gotta understand that any accident you have is your fault. As a motorcyclist you have more to lose than someone in a SUV or car. It does not matter if she hit the brakes early, he needed to ride and give himself enough room for a evasive action. Hopefully he learns to follow at the distance you were riding. Read more »

First Harley Ride

First Harley Ride – What Could Go Wrong?

Lol! A couple of things. First, you have to learn to ride a bike before you actually ride one. Second, if your a first time rider, NEVER buy a new bike, or even a pricey used one. Buy a decent beater. Because, as you can see, you will dump it. Most new riders dump their first bike. Hopefully there wasn’t too much damage.

When riding a bike for the first time A: be on grass to soften the inevitable crash B: aim for a nearby bush so that crash will happen at a lower speed C: repeat as necessary. Read more »

WRONG WAY HEAD ON California MOTORCYCLE CRASH

Car was wrong way going southbound in the carpool lane of the northbound 5 freeway near Main Street in Santa Ana California.

Are you aware that California has the most registered motorcycles out of any other state in the union? Naturally most of those motorcycles are registered in Southern California. I mean with our great climate, and being able to ride from the beach to the mountains usually within an hour or so, makes Southern California probably one of the best places to ride a motorcycle.

Unfortunately, there is a downside to motorcycle riding here in Southern California. California has perhaps the highest gas tax in the country. Plus, because the State was using just 20% of the gas tax money to maintain the highways, they were in terrible condition. To solve this problem, instead of using more of the dedicated gas tax money, the politicians in California, earlier this year, decided to jack up the gas tax by over $.12 a gallon on top of what we were already paying. Now, that’s just the current gas tax increase, because this same legislation increases the amount of gas tax every year! Read more »

Motorcycle Crash and Burn

Motorcycle Crash and Burn

Not sure what really happened to cvause this crash. Sure seems like he was going very fast, but, he roads are as wide as hell you can see the corners coming from a miles away it just doesn’t make sense. It was a smooth corner, did then rider just zone out or hallucinate and not realize there was a turn?

Well, how many times have we heard people use the phrase crash and burn? Unfortunately, this motorcycle accident is exactly that . . . A crash and burn!

One thing is for certain here, this motorcycle accident could have been much much worse if not for the fact that another motorcyclist pulled the rider away from the burning bike and shrubbery. To me, it looks like the accident rider was in no condition to get away from the bike in the flames which would’ve resulted in certain horrible death.

I don’t know what the outcome to this accident was at least as far as the motorcycle riders injuries. But, I believe he was extraordinarily fortunate to have other motorcycle riders right there. Read more »

Harley Motorcycle Crash

 Harley Motorcycle Crash

This was a crash of a Harley rider  doing motorcycle stunts at a Harley Davison bike night event in San Diego California. although the crash looks bad the motorcycle rider escaped with just a few bruises. It also looked like  the Harley just ended up with a couple of minor scrapes.

These Harley motorcycle riders were doing wheelies and other motorcycle stunts right on Marina Boulevard in front of the San Diego Harley-Davidson dealership. personally, I think you’re really stretching the envelope  when you do any type of motorcycle riding stunts. But, this is especially true when you do them on a heavy Harley-Davidson motorcycle! Read more »
