San Diego Motorcycle Crash and Burn

San Diego Motorcycle Crash and Burn

This is a real motorcycle crash and burn on the freeway. This motorcycle accident happened while going north on Highway 805 just before the 805 and 15 split, at about  9:30 AM.

The story is if you watch my shadow I lean left to move over lanes because the VW Golf is going about 40-45 MPH and without using his indicator he starts to move over as well. So I lean right to get back into my lane, but the guy does the same thing. I let go of my throttle and all I could do is slam my brakes and hope for best. SKIP TO 2:20 in the video if you just want to see the crash. Read more »

Speeding motorcycle hurtles into driver during pursuit

San Diego Ca Motorcycle Accident

A motorcycle rear-ended into an innocent driver during a high-speed chase on Interstate 805 in the North Park area of town.

No biker wants to hear about a motorcycle crash. But, whether in a car or bike it’s really stupid to try to speed away and have the CHP case you on the highway. But, what is really tragic in stories like this one, is that usually innocent motorist or pedestrians are often injured in these police chases. Read more »

Now doing wheelies on lightweight Japanese bikes is one thing, but, on Harley-Davidson’s bikes it’s quite another. Read more »

San Diego Motorcycle Accident Hwy 5

San Diego Motorcycle Accident

November 6, 2015 – I was driving Northbound on I-5 in San Diego this morning when I captured this motorcycle crash on my G1W-C dashcam. It’s amazing this rider walked away from the accident; his helmet definitely saved his life! Thanks to the great people who took the few seconds out of their day to stop and help this guy.

Comments:

It looks like he misjudged the cars speed and coming to a stop in front of him, and used too much of his rear break instead of his front tire breaks. A bike should be able to stop or slow down much easier than a car. But without experience or simply having a groggy morning can cause a misjudgment for even 1 sec and ends up in these kind of accidents. Read more »
