Ironhorse Motorcycles

Ironhorse Motorcycles

Three cool looking iron horse motorcycles in San Diego’s East County.

Kevin is one guy who really likes horses . . . Not only real horses, but Ironhorses as well!

The Ironhorse motorcycle that you’re looking at on the opening screen of the above video, is a Legend model. This particular one has a 2008 Texas Chopper tank on it. If you look closely you’ll see some of the differences between the Texas Chopper, the second motorcycle in, and the Legend the first motorcycle in the foreground. First of all, look at the swinging arm on the rear wheel and you can see that the Legend is an A-frame style and on the Texas Chopper has a straight bar that goes back to the wheel. Read more »

American Ironhorse motorcycle

American Ironhorse motorcycle

A few San Diego California American Ironhorse motorcycles meet up with some real horses!

This video shows two American Ironhorse Texas Choppers and one American Ironhorse Legend motorcycle.

The red Texas Chopper is a 2007, my copper color Texas Chopper is a 2006 and the third American Ironhorse  motorcycle in this video is a 2007 Legend model. the Texas Chopper was the flagship of the American Ironhorse motorcycle line. It was extremely popular because it had a classic rigid frame chopper look and yet it was actually a soft tail motorcycle. The Texas Choppers came with three S&S engine choices: the 111, the 117 and the huge 124 V-twin engines. Read more »

San Diego California American Ironhorse Motorcycle

San Diego California American Ironhorse

This is about the sale of my American Ironhorse Legend chopper motorcycle.

The AIH Legend looks very similar to their top-selling Texas chopper model.  I was lucky enough to own both the Legend and the Texas Chopper for a couple of months. Both these choppers were 2006 models with low approximate 5,000 miles on each. Read more »

American IronHorse Legend for Sale

2006 American IronHorse Legend for Sale

This San Diego chopper motorcycle is for sale. It is a 2006 American Ironhorse Legend with just 4,445 original miles! if you’re looking for the classic chopper look in a high-powered motorcycle, that looks like it’s a rigid frame, but in actuality is a soft tail, and powered by a large 111 super reliable S&S engine, this is your bike!

Ironhorse Legend chopperIn a review of this 2006 iron horse legend in a motorcycle-usa Article by Steve Natt, He said in part “The Legend is far and away the most rideable of their choppers-even though their Texas Chopper model outsells it by far – only because of a subtle difference in looks. Those of us of normal stature should be happy to trade off the 10% differential in the cool quotient (the Legend isn’t as extreme-looking as the TC) for a bike that is far more of a rider than a poser. In fact, it’s amazing how much a mere 2 inches in downtube stretch can change the entire character of a bike. The Legend’s bars and controls feel more natural and are at a height that doesn’t cause the blood to run out of your hands over time. It can be turned in a tighter radius and generally feels more responsive, which to my mind makes it the right choice if safety in an emergency situation is a factor for you. So given all this logic, why is the TC their best seller? Because logic, my friends, has very little to do with why people like this type of motorcycle.” Read more »
