Motorcycle Ride Memories

Up Around The Bend ~ Creedence Clearwater Revival

Great music and great pictures. There’s really nothing quite like the freedom of writing your own custom motorcycle. I miss the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s so much! Read more »

Motorcycle Riding

Motorcycle Riding Video

Most will never know . . . nothing like riding a high powered motorcycle with some of your buddies.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:

Motorcycling is riding a motorcycle. For some people, motorcycling may be the only affordable form of individual motorized transportation, and small-displacement motorcycles are the most common motor vehicle in the most populous countries, including India, China and Indonesia.

In developing countries, motorcycles are overwhelmingly utilitarian due to lower prices and greater fuel economy. Of all motorcycles, 58% are in the Asia Pacific and Southern and Eastern Asia regions, excluding car-centric Japan. Read more »

Big Dog k9 Motorcycle Ride 360 Video

Big Dog k9 motorcycle ride

The motorcycle in this video is a Big Dog K9 motorcycle with an S&S 117 in.³ fuel injected V-Twin engine. This video shows part of my ride from Orange County California to San Diego CA. The video was shot with a Samsung Gear 360 camera. Watch the Big Dog k9 motorcycle ride below:

This Samsung camera is a relatively small 360° camera that can be mounted using standard GoPro mounts.  I’m riding the Big Dog with the camera is mounted on the right side of my helmet.

I’m also using Corel Video Studio X10 to edit the footage and convert it from 360° video into standard video. Read more »

Your Last Motorcycle Ride

Your Last Motorcycle Ride

This is a very powerful video, never know when that next turn could be your last, but as said in the video, when it’s in your blood you can’t do anything but throw your leg over that bike! Very sorry for your loss.

Video notes: Patrick Bracelin has been my best friend since college. We did an initial interview with Patrick which quickly turned into, what I would consider, one of my favorite things I’ve captured on video. We made the haul to Phoenixville, PA from the DC area for the additional shots we wanted to lay over the video that we had already edited featuring Patrick’s interview. Read more »

Arizona Motorcycle Ride

Arizona Motorcycle Ride – Footnote

2007 American Ironhorse Texas Chopper Arizona Motorcycle Ride

2007 American Ironhorse Texas Chopper

This is a footnote to my 1-9-15 post about my Texas Chopper ride from the Phoenix Arizona area to San Diego:

When I was in Gilbert, Arizona, I noticed that the regular gas price was substantially cheaper than what it was that morning in San Diego. Now, because I go to Arizona quite often, I know this is always the case. Once you cross over the Colorado River the gas price usually drops by $. 30 or $.40 a gallon. This is due mainly to the high California state taxes and fees that are levied on every gallon of gas.

But in Chandler, Arizona we ran into a number of gas stations selling regular gas around a 1.91 per gallon. That morning at one of my San Diego neighborhood competitive gas stations the best price was $2.59. Read more »

A Motorcycle Ride To Remember

A Motorcycle Ride To Remember

By Bob Schwartz

 motorcycle ride

It was a week before Thanksgiving and the wife and I were staying in the Scottsdale area of Phoenix, Arizona. We had gone there for a couple days to relax and take in the sights. Unfortunately, the forecast was for a couple days of rain, and because of job commitments, we just couldn’t change our itinerary.

On the drive out from San Diego, there were just a couple of areas of rain and within about 45 min. the rest of the 6 1/2 hour trip was basically under cloudy skies. I had taken my helmet, motorcycle jacket and boots because I was planning on taking a look at a motorcycle that was offered for sale that was about an hour and a half north of Phoenix. I thought that if the bike looked good and I could reach an acceptable price with the seller, I would just ride it back to San Diego.

Unfortunately, as things turned out, for the four days that we were in Scottsdale it rained every day. We still managed to take in a couple of the sites and my wife went on a three hour tour of the Frank Lloyd Wright residence and school located on the eastern end of town.

I was planning on taking a look at the motorcycle for sale while my wife was on her tour, but, the weather was so bad I just had to call and cancel because I did not relish the fact that I would have to ride about three hours round-trip in rainy thunderstorm conditions. Read more »
