This is a vintage big dog motorcycle video that was made prior to their going out of business in 2011.
The video itself reminds me of the famous Apple Computer video which also revolved around the theme of breaking out of the conventional and standing apart from the masses.
Actually I wouldn’t be surprised if the makers of this video were influenced by the Apple Computer video commercial
Like the video says: even sitting still, a Big Dog motorcycle is a public event… they aren’t for the meek.

Once you’ve become part of a group of followers, it’s no longer a rebellion. And you are most certainly not an individual anymore. Clone chopper companies, including the metric bike companies, have become nothing more than good snake oil salesmen, selling a false image of American individualism. What will Big Dog do when people no longer associate that image to their bikes?
If I was going to “break the leash”, I wouldn’t get something that looks just like every other Harley clone. Riding a Big Dog to an IRS convention may make you a fierce individual, certainly standing out amongst the conservative bike-less crowd. But take one to Sturgis, and you’re amongst a sea of other followers with the same look, same flames, same tattoos, same leather flair, etc. It’s then that you realize you’ve been had.
For those that may not realize it after going out of business in 2011, big dog has come back about a year ago and is now in production again. There K-9 model retails for approximately $34,000.
Hopefully, they are manufacturing these bikes on an as needed basis. Because at $34,000 in today’s economy, I really can’t envision a lot of demand.
