La Mesa California is just east of San Diego California. This is a totally free to attend and to show your vehicles. This show runs through August 29 on Thursday evenings.
Although the show is mainly autos and hot rods, motorcycles are also entered and usually on any show night you can see a dozen to a dozen and a half motorcycles there. There are two winners picked each night, and the night that I was there with my modified big dog K9 motorcycle I won one of those awards.

Also, they have live music there, every other Thursday evening. They show is substantially smaller than the neighboring ones they night show in El Cajon California. But, it really has a small town feel to it and takes place right on the Mesa Boulevard and third Street.
So, if you’re lucky enough to be a motorcycle rider anywhere in San Diego County, or for that matter, in Southern California, if you wanted to you can participate in two great free auto and motorcycle shows. The El Cajon California show occurs on Wednesday evenings, and the La Mesa show occurs on Thursday evenings. Both shows start about 5 PM and run through 8 PM.
If you attend both shows you’ll see quite a stark difference between them. The El Cajon show, is not only substantially larger, much more organized, a with lots of vendors, and has a separate category just for motorcycles. The La Mesa show is more of a small town show without vendors but still having a DJ or live music.
There really are not too many shows like these two that are sponsored by the local merchants and totally free for viewing and participating in. So, I would unequivocally say, if you haven’t gone to one of the shows, you might want to do it before it disappears or ends up as a paying event.
