Operation Combat Bikesaver

Operation Combat Bikesaver gives veterans and first responders a chance to build and customize a motorcycle. People of all skill levels are encourage to jump in, lend a hand and pick up a few new skills in the process. But OCB is about more than turning wrenches and hangin’ with your bros. This group finds satisfaction in helping out their brothers and finding the gold that lies beneath the rust.

OCB has grown and developed since the beginning to a scale that initially nobody thought would be achievable in such a short amount of time.  The program has had some amazing folks behind the scenes, all doing their part and adding their personal touch to what it has transformed into today.  I have personally met most of the volunteers and board members and can attest every single one is just as compassionate as Jason himself articulates about his passion. Hands on based therapy at OCB has personally helped many that have walked thru the door either as a Candidate or as a Volunteer.

The personal change and growth thru many of them is mind blowing for such a short amount of time being involved with the program. I am eager to see how it grows over the next few years with Jason’s’ vision and the determination of a great team of folks who are the backbone of the program.

Mike Rowes recent segment on Returning the Favor captured over 30 million views to date and has been instrumental not only to OCB but also to the possibility of creating other programs that use therapy techniques outside the confines of pharmaceuticals or other Rx drugs, when in fact many of the issues facing the Veteran community can be tackled by programs such as this to enhance other programs or professional therapy our Veterans seek or utilize.   All should be proud to know the OCB family and am proud of Jason and his wife for such commitment to their vision.
