Chopper Motorcycle Ride

Chopper Motorcycle Ride

This chopper motorcycle ride departed early from College Avenue and Highway eight in San Diego with three chopper motorcycle riders. One of the riders, Jose, came down from Oceanside California. We left early in the morning to avoid the August hot weather. Because of the hot weather, we chose to write up the Mount Laguna and the old gold mining town of Julian California.

So, starting at a couple hundred feet elevation, we ended up going up in elevation to 4,226 feet! once we got up to Mount Laguna it was just perfect blue skies with a couple of clouds and great motorcycle riding weather! Read more »

San Diego Chopper Motorcycle Ride

A warm July custom chopper motorcycle ride to the last day of the Comic-Con Convention in the Gaslamp district of downtown San Diego California.

San Diego Chopper Motorcycle Ride

For best viewing, change the settings to the highest HD quality and be sure to go full screen …

There were three chopper motorcycle riders from Orange County, and for chopper motorcycle riders from San Diego. Sure, seven motorcycle riders are pretty small group, but what made our group unique, is the fact that all the bikes were exceptionally good-looking, high-powered choppers.

Chopper motorcycles have been out-of-favor for a number of years. Yes at many motorcycle get-together, I’d say there are at least 20 to 30 baggars for every one chopper motorcycle. There is no doubt, for long rides, it is sure convenient to have those large saddlebags, multi-speaker stereo systems, large windshields, GPS, gas gauge and a huge gas tank. Read more »

American Ironhorse motorcycle

American Ironhorse motorcycle

A few San Diego California American Ironhorse motorcycles meet up with some real horses!

This video shows two American Ironhorse Texas Choppers and one American Ironhorse Legend motorcycle.

The red Texas Chopper is a 2007, my copper color Texas Chopper is a 2006 and the third American Ironhorse  motorcycle in this video is a 2007 Legend model. the Texas Chopper was the flagship of the American Ironhorse motorcycle line. It was extremely popular because it had a classic rigid frame chopper look and yet it was actually a soft tail motorcycle. The Texas Choppers came with three S&S engine choices: the 111, the 117 and the huge 124 V-twin engines. Read more »

American Ironhorse Motorcycle Ride

San Diego East County motorcycle ride,  Mount Laguna, Sunrise Highway.

Eric’s bike featured in this video, is a 2004 American Iron horse Texas Chopper with the 111 in.³ S&S engine. This motorcycle was given to him by his dad who was the original owner of the bike. Eric rode this bike across country from Florida to San Diego California.

American iron horse produced a number of different motorcycle models, their top-of-the-line flagship model was the Texas Chopper. In my personal opinion the Texas chopper and the Big Dtheog K-9 model are two of the best factory built chopper motorcycles ever! Read more »

California Texas Chopper Motorcycle

American Ironhorse Texas ChopperEric’s 2004 American Ironhorse Texas Chopper motorcycle. when it comes to factory manufactured chopper motorcycles, it’s my humble opinion that the American Ironhorse Texas Chopper and the Big Dog  K-9 are two of the classic and best built chopper’s!

We did this video in front of San Diego Harley Davison on Marina Boulevard  here in San Diego. many other motorcycle riders and most of the general public when looking at the Texas Chopper believe that it is a rigid frame model because of the low seat position and no visible rear shock absorbers. American Ironhorse Motorcycle Models and Values

Thinking about getting a cool looking chopper to ride this season? Most riders agree the top two factory built choppers are the American Ironhorse and the Big Dog motorcycles. both these manufacturers made a number of motorcycles and their line and in a number of instances, some of the models look very similar.

American Ironhorse 2007 Texas Chopper

American Ironhorse 2007 Texas Chopper

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

American IronHorse was an American motorcycle manufacturer that was founded in 1995 by Tim Edmundson and Bill Rucker.[1] At one time, AIH was the largest factory producer of custom motorcycles in the USA. Their 224,000-square-foot (20,800 m2) factory was located in Fort Worth, Texas, and housed the complete manufacturing process under a single roof. Although most (305) parts for the bikes were made in-house, such as the seats and wheels, all American IronHorse motorcycles were built with S&S engines and were assembled in-house. In Spring 2008, American Ironhorse ceased production on all cycles and most company assets were liquidated at auction

I have owned a few of these great motorcycles. I started with a 2004 and than a 2005 and now ride a 2006 with the rare chrome package. Read more »
