Chopper Motorcycle Night – It’s always a pleasure to see a gathering of good looking custom chopper motorcycles. Many consider the custom chopper to be a rolling work of art. You could have a hundred stock Harleys at a meetup and just two choppers. It’s a sure bet the more cell phone photos will be taken of the two choppers, than all the combined photos of the Harley baggers.

Thinking about Baggers vs Choppers, I’d say the baggers out number the choppers by at least 100 to 1. Yes, choppers have lost popularity, but there unique classic lines will always keep them in the mix.

If you look at some of the newer Harleys over the past few years you’ll notice that they are incorporating some chopper motorcycle features such as wider rear tires, bigger engines, smaller stylish gas tanks and a few models designed to look good without the saddlebags or windshields.
Now I appreciate all motorcycle riders no matter what model or style bike you ride. But, with that said, we all have our personal preferences. And I feel that when you’re riding a motorcycle with giant saddlebags, a huge windshield, large gas tank, obnoxious looking crash bars, heated seat and huge stereo speakers mounted in the saddlebags, that cost as much as a entry-level Lexus, you’re definitely losing a certain feel when compared to cruising down the road on a slick high powered stripped-down chopper.

Now, I realize many will not agree with me. Personally, I feel that’s fine, were all entitled to a diversity of opinion.
