With the publication of this video just two days ago, it seems certain that Big Dog Motorcycles is going to have a new 2020 trike model.

It seems quite a few Big Dog Motorcycle enthusiast, would have rather seen them bring back the mastiff versus this new bulldog trike.

At first, I thought to come out with a trike was not a good idea for a struggling custom motorcycle manufacturer. Thinking about it a little more, and the fact that a huge part of the motorcycle community is in their 50s or older, to bring a new trike model out now, for these older riders, might be a good idea.

It now looks like Big Dog Motorcycles will have five different 2020 model motorcycles in their 2020 lineup:

Bulldog Trike
Bulldog
Boxer
k9
Coyote

Before the great recession of 2008, it said that Big Dog Motorcycles had manufactured approximately 30,000 motorcycles! Yes, at their peak, they were producing approximately 25 motorcycles per day! But, with the United States going into its worst recession since the Great Depression, Big Dog Motorcycles ended production in 2011.

As the US economy improved, it just took a couple of years before Big Dog Motorcycles was back. Yes, although they came back at a much reduced manufacturing capability., it’s just the fact that they came back at all, that’s important!

Currently Big Dog Motorcycles produces four models, the addition of this Bulldog trike will be their fifth model for their 2020 Big Dog motorcycle lineup. Naturally, as a longtime motorcycle enthusiast, and a big dog motorcycle rider, I wish Big Dog Motorcycles great success with their new 2020 Big Dog Bulldog trike
